PERSONNEL DIVISION/ PERMANENT STAFF
The COZENS permanent recruitment service operates across all levels of staff and categories, from general to technical and computer employees.
A thorough and in-depth knowledge of both client and suitable candidates allows COZENS to recruit the correct candidates for each job specification, adding both value and efficiency to the client.
A well-developed database within our national branches, together with a formidable reputation in the market-place attracts skilled and experienced candidates to suit each client’s requirements. All candidates are interviewed with high attention to detail. Assessments are administered to measure the general level of communication, skills and experience. Reference checks are recorded verbatim and are included in the curriculum vitae, together with all copies of candidate assessments. A minimum of two in-depth reference checks are carried out on all candidates. In addition, all COZENS candidates are credit checked prior to invoicing the client. Such checks may also be performed prior to the referral of the candidate.

Consequently, permanent employees are utilised more efficiently, with temporary staff being called in for planned workload peaks. We have a pre-selected trained pool of temporary staff available to meet any needs at short notice. Continuity of temporary staff, where the same casual is being employed for assignments of a similar nature is vital and thus minimises repeat training. Clients have the consistent back-up of COZENS CASUALS, should the temporary staff member be unable, for any reason, to complete the assignment personally. The completion of the assignment is guaranteed without unnecessary delays.
All administration payments and completion of relevant government returns of temporary staff remain the responsibility of COZENS CASUALS, allowing the client to concentrate on its core business.
Our Consultants will provide regular follow-ups and personal contact for the duration of the assignment, ensuring continued productivity of the temporary employee. Any dissatisfaction from client or temporary employee will be attended to immediately.
All codes of discipline and performance (Disciplinary procedures, CCMA Cases, Dismissals as well as Performance Management) are managed by your Cozens Casuals Consultant.
What about Costs?
Rates are individually calculated per assignment to allow for the skills and experiences required by the client. Should a COZENS CASUAL subsequently be employed on a permanent basis, the placement fee is offered as a discounted percentage of the agreement with the client. Rebate schemes may be negotiated, depending on volume of business placed.
The COZENS CASUAL will work a minimum number of four (4) hours per day, enabling the client to ”staff down” specific areas, if necessary.
